Resiliency in law enforcement is the ability of officers to stay strong and remain focused on a task even when faced with stressful situations which are volatile , uncertain, complex and ambiguous. Resilience allows officers to stay agile on their mission and be able to respond promptly to any case.
Officers must know their psychological and physical capacities to develop resilience and build positive elasticity. Additionally officers should be mindful of their mental and emotional needs and seek resources for support when needed.
