Phil Tyler: Lessons learned from loss of a child

In this special segment of the Rally Point, Dr. Dave Mather is joined by Phil Tyler on the 5th anniversary of the death of Phil’s son, Devon, to suicide. With a heart of service, Phil shares his journey from the unbearable loss of his eldest son to finding a way to help others who have lost loved ones to suicide. Phil also talks about some of the unintentional behaviors of men and women in the public safety profession that might create barriers that would keep loved ones from asking for help during times of crisis and how we can better look out for each other before and after a critical incident.
